Facilitators' Bio:

LaKisha C. Brooks

LaKisha C. Brooks, M.Sc., M.Ed, is the Chief Learning Officer at Brooks Enterprise and Consultants and served as President-Elect for the Greater Atlanta Chapter of ATD from 2019-2020. LaKisha also served on the 2020 Mentoring and Coaching Advisory Board for HR.com and is a leading expert on creating and implementing internal/external people development programs. Her specialty is mentoring, leadership development, high potential, and coaching programs.

An internationally recognized facilitator, LaKisha, has been featured on ABC, FOX, CW, and NBC affiliates across the country, as well as, The Denver Post and The Miami Herald. She was also recognized by Atlanta Business Chronicle as a “Person on the Move.” LaKisha is also the 2018 Trainer Showdown winner for the ATD Central FL Chapter. She has over 12 years of sales and management consulting experience and 18 years of public speaking experience. She has worked with companies such as Rheem Manufacturing, Flexport, Walker’s Legacy, and the Sandy Springs Chamber of Commerce, just to name a few. She has also traveled the country training global clients in the areas of leadership, management, and sales as a consultant for Krauthammer USA.

Cornelius Dowdell

Cornelius “Neil” Dowdell is a sought after global high potential professional focusing on operational efficiency, human capital management, leadership development and consulting. He has more than 20 years’ experience in leadership, management, consulting and leading operational and program teams in human resources, corporate learning and career planning. Cornelius is renowned for his ability to develop potential leaders, streamline operational processes and create value within organizations. He believes that we all have inspired strengths and gifts that we should maximize in our life’s work, which led him to become an entrepreneur and start The Nelius Strategy LC.

Cornelius also manages corporate learning for educational institutions and collaborates with Fortune 500 companies over the past 15 years. Cornelius has conducted hundreds of employee learning programs in such areas as improving interpersonal effectiveness, communication, management, leadership development for managers and high potential employees, effective oral and written presentations, delegating, career planning, train-the-trainer, motivation and dealing with difficult people.

Cornelius earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Louisiana State University and an MBA from Capella University. He is certified in Leadership and Management Development, Lean Six Sigma and leadership curriculum.

Cornelius is involved in numerous professional and non-profit organizations, serving in the Association of Talent Development (ATD), Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), Project Management Institute (PMI) and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc.
